Corridor
Feasibility Studies
For this Corridor
Feasibility study, ETSI collected traffic counts, established
current traffic patterns on the at-grade intersection and made projections for
future traffic patterns with and without a grade separated interchange. It was
concluded that the grade separated interchange would eliminate conflicts of
through traffic on SH 365 from Spur 93 and from the Railroad line. The study
also included calculation of delays, travel time savings and accident reduction
savings at the Railroad crossing. Also estimated trip generation rates for the
proposed developments in the area and analyzed accident records for the past 4
years. Used SYNCHRO for capacity and level of service analyses and test
alternative interchange configurations. A benefit/cost analysis was conducted to
determine the feasibility.
