Route Studies and Schematic Design

For this study ETSI estimated the travel demand on a 9-mile long new freeway facility in rural northwest Laredo. The study area covered FM 1472, IH 35, the existing Loop 20 and the Laredo Outer Loop. Included in this study was the estimation of the accident reduction rates caused by the construction of the new freeway and capacity and level of service analyses at key intersections. A financial feasibility study was also conducted which included the life cycle costs and a benefit cost analysis.
