Toll Feasibility Studies

ETSI conducted a financial feasibility study for a new toll bridge across the US-Mexico border. The work included data collection, traffic forecasting, calculations of current bridge capacities, crossing travel times and benefit cost analysis. Revenues were calculated based on similar bridge toll fees and coverage ratios were determined for the various financing options. The study determined the number of service lanes necessary for smooth bridge operation, as well as the anticipated year when the travel demand would require further crossing capacity (bridge expansion or constructing a new bridge).
